The First Sings Of Autumn

The nights are cooler and the island is blissfully quiet again.  The heady wildness of summer days is clearing and the promise of harvest brings me back to my senses.  So much to look forward to; wood fires, solitary walks on Hornby beaches warmed by woollen sweaters, and lungs full of fresh ocean air cleaned from West Coast rain.   No wonder in a month we celebrate everything for which we are thankful.
