Morning Sky Over Hornby and Denman Islands
Last Friday I headed into Vancouver and Michael into Courtenay. As the ferry sailed away from Shingle Spit we were throw into the moment by the pyrotechnics of the morning sky. The sun's first rays cast against the soldierly darkness of Mt. Geoffrey and Lambert Channel's black waters moved us into silence and awe.

By the time we got to the Denman West ferry terminal the sky had completely changed its look and mood, doing everything it could to keep us present. The mist above the water was cast aglow but the mountains of Vancouver Island were resistant to let go of their winter chill. More than one person we talked with along the way commented how lucky we are to live in paradise. Sometimes all it takes is the sunrise to open your eyes.
